Here is an example of a website that I recently finished that had nothing to do with conversion rate optimization. This was actually the first that I worked with a client that has a product, but doesn't want to sell it online.
The
Healing and Age Management Vitamins that this website offer are sold and distributed ONLY through doctors offices. So there is no retail possible.
The main concern for this client is "credibility". When you are dealing with high profile doctors and their patients, the website needs to be perfect. The design cant look "cheap" and the text needs to be accurate.
Aside from completely cleaning up the website I also recoded it in CSS, adding
SIFR and Dreamweaver template to easily up the site, and a complete Search Engine optimization strategy which has immediately taken off. Within 60 of launch, all of the main keywords we are targeting are seeing increase rankings.
Now this would be even better if they were actually selling these products retail, but either way they are getting more worldwide exposure. Now that is a hard ROI to track, but the doctors, patients and especially the clients are very happy with the website. Let me know what you think... A
