Hands down, the biggest challenge is marketing the site. The raison d’être for an ecommerce site is to sell, and creating the most visually appealing site on the web is pointless unless customers can find it. Pay-per-click advertising can be effective, but it is expensive, and SEO efforts can take months to produce tangible results.

Netsuite Google Page Rank

There must be a bad history of search engine rankings for Netsuite websites because I get a lot of people telling me that they dont think Netsuite websites can rank well in Google or Yahoo. Also that Netsuite Web Sites usually have a low Google Page Rank. Well those rumors are false. Netsuite website will index just like any other web site and they also can produce (and increase) great Page Rankings.

Landing Pages Web Design NetSuite

Landing page design and normal web design are two different things. Especially when you are dealing with a
"
all-in-one
"
application like NetSuite Web Presence eStore for eCommerce. This application has really opened up a new level of development for me. Specifically in the area of designing landing pages.
<
br /
>
<
br /
>
With normal web development, you can pretty much customize any pages you want. Whether it is the the design, the database collections or the credit card processing... Normal web development has no limitations. With all-in-one CRM and eCommerce applications this is not the case. An application or estore (example here Netsuite) will only allow you to customize so much. This is basically to make you avoid break the other component of the application: databases, accounting, and credit card processing.
<
br /
>
<
br /
>
So how do you develop effective landing pages when you are limited with your development. You hack the design to work-around these limitations. Using all the better conversion rate skills within the limitations of the applications. With NetSuite it is required me to make products always adding to a shopping cart and a leading generating email capture form can only redirect to one end result (action page). So its tricky on how to customize the user experience for the highest conversion rates and get them tracked correctly.
<
br /
>
<
br /
>
Below are links to two different landing pages that were created in NetSuite. To the designer they look like that they will be effective, but I were to develop these on a normal web development platform then they would like much different. For instance the
"
Add To cart
"
buttons would not be directly on the landing page. Instead I would use a special offer promotions to capture information for lead generating and then display the perfect special offer on the resulting (action) page after they click on a submit button.

Retail Netsuite Web Design and Development Customization: Skin Care

I have a history of struggling with ecommerce applications. This is because none of them are ever going to be perfect. With NetSuite, I am 90% there to getting everything I want. Once you figure out the system there are endless options to customizing the web site design. I develop with advanced CSS and XHTML then mix in some basic JavaScript to have complete control of the website. Also, since you can't use a programming language, I use Dreamweaver templates to make the site easy to update. It's a common bag of tricks.

>
is an example of how I create customized web site design for NetSuite. The development involves some trial and error pain, plus a lot of bug testing but in the end you can see the difference. The original looks amatuer, while the newly redesigned one looks professional. Please

It's the basic scenario: potential customer is searching the web, clicks an advertisment or search result for product keyword and they arrive at a page with those products. Voila... You just connected the dots.

Landing Page Web Design 2005

Why are web designers creating landing pages web designs that do not convert? The thing that has upsets me the most is that advertising agencies are charging a lot of money and not getting the ROI. They are flashy and too focused on branding. But don't get confused, branding campaigns can definitely be combined with a great landing page web design. The focus still remains direct response marketing and nothing is more important than the sale. Its simple, stop wasting your money...

>
Recently I have focus a lot of sales funnel freelance work on designing landing pages. These may seem boring to the average designer, but they are very important to a successful web business. Great landing page work can really improve your business. A lot of times it can take your site from the 1990's and into 2005. Below are three new examples of recent work for a new client. Stay tuned as I post a lot more successful projects...

is never a straight forward process. So this series of NetSuite Blog posts will walk through the steps we have taken with setting up NetSuite. We will try and document everything on this NetSuite Blog. From transferring Quickbooks to selling products and services via eCommerce. Also, to make this experience a little more interesting, we will be setting up the business with no technical support from NetSuite. So if you are reading this and know tricks or a better way to do things, please email me or

br /
>
<
br /
>
Lets get started.... After purchasing NetSuite, we received the welcome email and were excited to log into the new account. An associate recommended that before we do anything, we transfer the QuickBooks file into Netsuite. Then immediately when I log into NetSuite the first thing I see what below.
<
br /
>
<
br /
>
<
img src=

>
<
br /
>
<
br /
>
So that look promising, it is now asking me to Transfer QuickBooks, ok lets do it. WAIT! The QuickBooks File Import was not purchased, so we need to contact the account rep and purchase this. This add-on is a processing fee to import up to 50MB of QuickBooks Data. First mistake, should have known a QuickBooks transfer file was needed.
<
br /
>
<
br /
>
So as I await the QuickBooks transfer file to be approved, I read up on the steps to import the QuickBooks data. It turns out, after you export the info from Quickbooks, the HELP instructions say
"
On the Setup tab, under the Import/Export heading, click Send us your QuickBooks® File
"
<
br /
>
<
br /
>
So then you log off your NetSuite account and we wait to be contacted that this was completed. Lets see how long this takes... More to come...

Increase Your NetSuite Conversion Rate

Many times I am asked...

What makes you different from other web designers?

>
Its simple... I create web sites that focus on conversion rate. Whether, I am doing landing pages, NetSuite Web Design or Web Marketing mailers and banners... The formula is: find all the obvious problems and develop a solution.

You may be losing revenue if your visitors don't know all that items that you sell. Figure out a user friendly way to display your top 3-5 categories or items for each section of your site. You could increase your page views and the lifetime value of your customers.

Holiday Landing Page Designs

This was part of a PPC landing page design project. This particular product hasn't been the easiest to market, because it is very unique. But I was up for the challenge.
